WHY COMING BACK

WHY COMING BACK TO THE MAT

Perhaps it is our choice and decision that brings us to a point where we simply need the courage to dare something different.

I felt the same way when I first became actively involved in yoga a few years ago. The term yoga had been established for a long time, but it was just not within my grasp.

To cut a long story short, I didn’t realise how demanding my working day actually was and how much I was focused on reaching milestones.

However, as soon as I reached them, I was already mentally looking for the next challenge.

Yes, and then one day you wake up and ask yourself where shall I go now?

This was the moment when I learned to “feel comfortable in the uncomfortable”.

One early morning before dawn, above the mountains of Rishikesh, I came into contact with Pranayama and yoga for the first time and no, it didn’t change everything overnight, but it changed me and my mindset permanently – and this without me ever having planned it or even having wanted to do yoga. There are just some coincidences that you can only influence to a limited extent. There are just some coincidences that you can only influence to a limited extent.

We all find ourselves at different crossroads in our lives, but they all have one thing in common: we decide how we want to deal with them.

To this day I am successful in my job and still pursue milestones, but with a different awareness – since I am also a yoga teacher.

The balancing act is successful because I deliberately choose to do both.

Being mindful in the here and now. While at the same time meeting the challenges in a modern way and accepting them or adapting them for oneself.

So how about some courage to try something new and be surprised when you realise: I am no longer searching for something.
